Hey bros. So I started a part-time hospital job while finishing school. The position requires clinical training and the person giving me my last 3 training sessions is a really cute girl around my age. Normally I wouldn’t go for a co-worker unless there’s obvious mutual interest, but I really like her values and personality, so there’s a part of me that wants to at least shoot my shot. The evening training shifts are 6 hrs long but relatively busy so we haven’t talked too much about personal things other than the basics Throughout each shift I’m mostly communicating with medical personnel and documenting patient interactions, and she’s mostly just observing me to make sure I’m doing everything correctly I don’t think she’s really attracted to me right now (physically she’d probably be considered “out of my league”) but I feel there's potential for chemistry. I’ve also had several situations where girls who weren’t interested in me at first ended up liking me later, so you never know. The thing is after my last training session tomorrow, I probably won’t see her in-person again. We work for a “3rd party” company that sends us out to various hospitals. Some shifts occasionally overlap, but it’s very rare. Either way, in those cases you basically just briefly hand over info to the person taking your shift. I’m trying to think of a direct but low-pressure way of asking her out. I want to be professional and don’t want her to feel awkward or anything. In non-work contexts I’m usually better at this. I’ve approached girls in public (coffee shops, etc) with success, and even with rejections, the vibe has been good and the girl leaves smiling. But obviously in this context it’s tricky. After each shift we usually walk out together to our cars in the parking lot. I’m thinking of maybe saying “thanks again for the training... etc etc” and then saying "this is for you btw" and handing her a little note that reads: “hey, just wanted to say I thought your style was cute. Here's my # in case you’re interested in a coffee sometime :) ###-####" Thoughts?
