This girl has been pretty invested so her excuse seems genuine. It's been a few hours. Should I respond to her last message with "I guess it's official. What's your schedule like next week?"

If you can, like her message and just wait a couple days. reengage her with a “hola linda” or a famous ryan gosling meme and try to lock in plans for that week. you don’t want to seem needy, as in when your plans fall through you need to immediately make other ones. give her a little bit of space. maybe even reference the cookout when you’re confirming and use humor to make sure she doesn’t flake ie: “so no unplanned family cookouts getting in the way of our romantic date?” etc.

It was too late and I didn't respond. Bro here is the context with messages: we had a great date 6 months ago but then I screwed it up through text. Recently she hmu and we planned a date.

The thing is she cancelled without offering another day. I think I'm losing emotional investment. What's something funny/charming to get her in and close effectively?
