“Let’s keep the first date casual and stick to drinks. There will be plenty of room for fancy dinner dates in the future :)” “That sounds amazing but for our first date I have a different plan” then offer to cook at my place and share wine on my balcony “Let’s keep the first date casual and stick to drinks. Food can make me sleepy”

Actually , upon a closer look - she first responded sat 27th at 2:04pm. You soft closed - can't tell exactly, but probably less than 24 hours later. Then you do the takeaway 2 days later, then she takes 4 days to suggest trite "how bout a wine and dine" so- tough love but I think you messed up...She thinks you're eager and shes gonna see if she can use you at this juncture. You'll have to flip the script and regain frame, which will be tough but give it your best shot. I still like the text suggestion I mentioned above.

He definitely soft closed too early but it's not really because of the time he took to soft close more so the interaction that was had. I don't believe 2 days to re-engage is too little time either if that's what you're trying to say

On the 2nd point - no, I agree with you 2 days is fine for the takeaway. But I still think the soft close was offered too early - the entire interaction looks like it was about 16-20 hours, then the 2 day takeaway, then the 4 day response. I agree if there's a strong organic connection then a soft close can happen fast, but as you say this is just some pop culture banter and not that solid.
