She should pick up on it, I normally do a couple of dots after, "Don't worry, it's not a trick question.." if you add the smile it takes some of the power of the takeaway off is what I've found lol, not sure if that makes sense but yeah.

Gives it a less serious vibe imo, it's personal preference tho up to you.
