Yeah makes sense, I thought it wasn't worth talking about now but I should have. Any ideas how to reopen a conversation now though? That conversation took place on the same day and now its been 3 days and I havn't responded.

Yeah I mean you can definitely try but at this point I would just say move on to a different girl, and I doubt you've learnt enough by then to actually be able to steer the conversation in the right direction anyways. But you learn through mistakes so all good!

This is all over the place, I would suggest you go over the basics by watching alex's videos on texting and dming. There is too much wrong about this interaction to go over or make any meaningful progress with some simple advice. It will take some time to transform your text game but like I said go over alex's videos and understand the concepts and you'll get there.

"Yes, you seem like the spontaneous type" And then can say something like "Where are you from originally?" or just steer the conversation elsewhere.
That's how I would probably approach it, but I'm no expert so could wait and see what others think.

Don't think it shows humility, its mostly cocky i'd say? Since you imply that whatever she complimented you on is not much compared to your other great qualities. Regardless It seems like a good line and sets up an easy response where she will ask about those other qualities, at which point you can tease one of those other qualities (again in a cheeky way), or soft close with something like "I'll tell you all about it on our romantic date" or a variation of it.

Seems to me at least like it has potential, I'll try it when a good situation for it comes up and let you know how it goes

I actually sent her a message like 10mins before you posted here and it was "don't get too excited now" and "I mean what if you're secretly crazy, would have to find out first"
not sure about the 2nd one but pretty similar first message, the 2nd one is to hopefully start a convo

IMO its a lot easier to be cocky in real life than over text because irl you can calibrate it and have it not be taken too seriously. Being cocky in a playful way is definitely a good thing, someone who is cocky but gets bad reactions from it wouldn't continue being cocky, so someone who is still cocky means they probably are used to good reactions (social proof), I think that's what ToddV means. Generally being cocky is good if you do it in a playful manner so you also don't take yourself too seriously at times too. Also these kinds of things really depend on the girl which is why calibrating based on the reaction can be just as important.
