Thanks for the feedback, i'm new to this.. in hindsight indeed saying "i'm wondering what kind of date we should go on" very clearly puts us in we're going on a date frame. Didn't even realise it at the time.

Slept on it and took option A:
A) Ask her to clarify what thoughts she thinks i have and then address the concern
