Tinder Soft Shadowban vs Hard Shadowban
I haven't seen this distinction made before so posting it here.
I did some testing and realized that Tinder has two types of shadowbans. The hard shadowban is where you just don't get any matches at all. If you turn on boost, it won't show you the micro avatars of people who saw your boost, because your profile is invisible.
The soft shadowban is a bit different. If you delete your subpar profile and make a new improved one too many times, unknown to you, your swipe history will be restored, so most ladies won't see you if you exhausted your area previously.
Most people would imagine with a soft shadowban their matches are being reduced when in fact it's the pool of ladies.
Can you get soft sgadowbanned even if you make it with a new number
Yes. You need a new device, IP, phone number, payment method, and rehashed photos.

I do agree about the "two types of shadowbans" thing though. I see it more as true shadowban vs. degraded Elo.

Yeah, I experienced the same thing. initially the old matches showed up, but after some time resets yielded far fewer ladies. Either it’s a new feature or its triggered by a minimum number of resets (I’ve done it at least 15 times).
