A few months ago I went on a hike with some friends, and this cute girl was there. We talked a little, got along, but I was seeing someone else at the time. I recently decided to try yoga, and low and behold, this chick was teaching the class(fyi, these classes are full of good looking women).

I asked her out after class last week, and she said yes, and suggested a hike. Said cool, got her number, and immediately texted her my name. I didn't get a response. What should I do?

Appreciate your work Alex and Indian PE

Chase Amante "How To Text A Girl" book is my bread and butter. You texted her your name, word! She shouldn't respond, she's not supposed to. Nothing against the other comments but they're all clearly shouting out "thirsty". "Forgetting about me already" sounds needy/clingy. "Is this the cute yoga teacher" gives her validation without any attempt to qualify her. You asked for a date, now set that sucker up:

The formula is as follows:

  1. Hey, (her name) :) how's your week? (consideration text) I've been (something interesting here, arousal) it's been crazy. What's your week looking like? (logistics)

Don't be her text buddy, don't send texts to chat, move the courtship forward. Simple facts and rules.

I agreed with your needy assessment before sending the "forgetting" text. Ended up gong with something similar to what you said, and didn't get a response. I'm going to her class tonight, gonna see what's up. It's weird because we vibed, and she seemed very down.

I noticed u said "it's weird" but girls are allowed to not respond for days, you have three times before you put the ball in her court and move on. she should be one of 10-20 girls you're interacting with. abundance mentality is the rule of thumb here. my sister just broke up with a guy because every time she saw him she felt irritated because he was always lurking in the back.

"Is this the cute yoga teacher I spoke to the other day?"

I didn't go with this, but I did think about going down the route of "also known as the cute guy from yoga" or some variation ... would that have been a good text?

No. "Cute" is not a great descriptor for a guy
