Hi Alex and friends. I'm trying to get back into online dating after putting a lot of effort into pictures and the gym. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me pick out a few pictures to use for the major apps. Sorry that there are so many pics, I can try to narrow it down if this is too many. Also if there's a particular concept/background that looks promising, but my facial expression is off, I can show you more as I take many pics in each spot as recommended. I know I'm still a bit skinny and I'm continuing to work on it. I put on 15 lbs over the last year while lifting hard, will try to put on another 15 in the next 9 months. Can't do anything about growing a beard unfortunately unless I get on Rogaine.

Thanks for your advice man. Do you have examples of poses that look natural? A lot of the ones I see on youtube, etc are clearly posed like the touching watch pose, crossed arms, adjusting buttons, etc.

In a lot of them I tried to make it look natural by taking the pictures while walking, are you saying those also look unnatural or is it mainly the touching watch and wine glass poses?

And by "awkward" do you mean unnatural or is that a separate thing?

The walking pictures look natural! They work.

In terms of online dating, I would think of it like this, if a camera wasn’t on you... is it something you would naturally be doing?

That’s why the walking ones work. The ones touching your watch just seem unnatural to do.

I think one posed photo is fine to get away with but don’t post more than that.

Thanks for the clarification man, I think I'm starting to get what you mean. What about ones where you're just standing there looking straight ahead? That's something a lot of people do naturally, but whenever Alex reviews photos he always says ones like that look too posed.
