Actually I don't have any close guy friends (l say this in a genuine factual way) and yes I do struggle to be witty funny with even friends. When I've been around some of the guys from game on a bootcamp and I am in that environment for a little while, it starts to come out much more. But as soon as I leave, I lose it. Probably a big part of that is I've isolated myself a lot for years while I worked on personal issues in my life, and school, and my career, and prior to that I struggled to maintain friendships all through my childhood. So for me this seems to be a deeper issue than just unstifling myself. I literally don't think of things to say in the first place in almost any situation. Every now and again when I'm feeling really good about myself and my stress is very low, I will get into "state" where I'm wittier and funny with people. But it's rare and not within my control so to speak.

Damn bro, this definitely does sound like a deeper issue. I would definitely try to get a few close guy friends if I were you. I think having deep and genuine friendships is super key for overall emotional well being. I honestly don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for my family and friends.
And yes, isolation can have these downsides. If I were you, I'd also prioritize doing more social shit. A good starting place would be to get a roommate that you're friends with or take up some non pua activities. Best of luck man
