If you can pick up a used DSLR you'll get much better quality images. The lens is wide enough to get the blurry background like the iPhone portrait mode. Point and shoots are good but the lens isn't big enough to get that nice blurry background that makes a good portrait.

I was on tinder, bumble, and hinge, but it was taking up a lot of my time and headspace (and I wasn't having much luck on tinder or bumble). So, I decided to only use hinge and focus on myself and hanging with good friends, working out, getting back into my hobbies, stop smoking weed. When I had all 3 apps I would get about a match a day, but I only ended up going on one date since the breakup, about 2 months ago. The date didn't go well, mostly because I was catfished. I haven't cold approached yet, no excuse besides I don't feel super confident. I will say I am much better at keeping a conversation with someone in person, just having trouble getting to the meetup stage. I am an engineer so I can be a bit logical sometimes and I don't think it helps starting conversation with girls. I live in San Diego, so the number of sexy ladies is in abundance here. Being good with the ladies has never been my strength in the past and I'm looking to work on that.

I'm getting matches, but the conversation dies out pretty fast usually. I think I ask too many questions and need to work on building an emotional connection, but I'm not sure how. A lot of times ill open with "do you like tacos" or something relating to their profile, but I cant seem to keep the conversation goin.
