I cant invite to my place because I live with my parents who are strict and one is high risk for COVID. I guess I just need to get an apartment cuz I have saved a lot of money to afford one but I would be scraping by/cutting into my savings a bit each month unless I can get a new job which obviously is not very likely for a while. Id still rather live like a bum on my own than stay with my parents tho since its really toxic here.

as far as texting her I guess I'll just wait like you said then try to ask her schedule and slip in the fact that I cant have people over cuz I havent told her that yet so maybe that would cue her to invite me. this is a girl I have known for a while idk if that makes any difference. I went to her place several years ago with the excuse of driving her home from a bar and she invited me in (nothing happened despite me staying til friggin 5 AM because I was and still am clueless when it comes to this stuff). so theres no stranger danger fear going on for her, I just wasnt sure how to propose that option again. my only other idea is bringing up the idea of a movie night and maybe go that route if that is a thing people do? like netflix and chill but basically dont say that in case its too sexual.

Can you share what kinds of things you text about? Sorry if that is a dumb question. I try to bring up shows or movies, but when she has not seen them the conversation dies quickly. I am worried about asking what she is up to then not having anything to say.
