Haven’t dealt too much with this but went on a fourth date, already slept together on the first three. Date was going great then out of nowhere she starts ragging on men, I don’t say much then she turns to me and says, “I’ve got you all figured out. You’re just like the rest of them. Fucking toxic asshole.” I’d been nothing but a gentleman with her. She then says I can’t handle dating a Latina and should stick with Canadian women, goes cold and says she’s leaving. The bill was already paid so I left too. We’re outside and I’m like “I don’t know where that came from. You think you know me but you don’t. I’m not perfect and guess what, you’re not either, but I’m far from being a toxic asshole.” Then she comes over and kisses me, invites me back to her place and we smash. She’s been through a lot with guys and while I understand her being defensive, that behaviour really turned me off. I don’t think trauma should be an excuse to treat a date like that. Maybe it came out with the drinks but again, no excuse.
