When should you cut your losses? Determine if a girl is a timewaster?

As I explained on a previous post, I met a girl through a hosting app. I invited her to stay at my place for a few weeks. However, it seems nothing romantic is going on between us, at best she is a friend.
I told her that she would have to leave by the end of the month. I'm confident I made the right decision, since it seems she was only looking for a roommate as opposed to anything more than that.
However, I wonder how you guys and Alex make this call. After 1-2 weeks if nothing is going on do you say, "Alright, it seems that this is going nowhere?" I think the main issue I see is that we don't have a "man to woman" connection. Is more a "friend to friend."

Mate, the woman was looking for a accomodation, I guess via couch surfing. You offered that. Leave it at that and don't be butt hurt she's not into you. That's creep as fuck.
You can be opportunistic about and see if she's a cool gal, but if not you should leave it at that. You sound like a stalker.
You need to get to a place of abundance so you don't have to pry on trusting people you invite to your place.

Mate, I think you are throwing too many adjectives, "creep", "stalker" I don't know why. You are sounding like a male feminist. I mostly host girls who are very open minded and most are down to "see where it goes."
With this girl I realized that she is looking for something else, so I was honest and told her that I'm not interested in her staying for longer. There's other girl's already who seem way more open minded and I am screening better. The whole post is about abundance as I said, if it doesn't work out with one particular girl move to the next one.
