The screenshots will give context but essentially I have a girl pushing super hard to go on a date tomorrow but I have plans that I am not moving or bailing on (family stuff with my grandmother).

Any advice on how I should have handled this exchange? Or just for future reference in general how to handle a date situation when you just can't make an impromptu date for the same night or the next night. I probably pulled some beta shit at the end of the exchange and explained too much but honestly I don't really care about appearing beta when it concerns my grandmother.

How’d it end up going? She sounded super dtf...

We texted for a bit the day after this exchange took place and she started irritating me (she went into this whole thing about she just had her heart broken by a guy she knew for 3 weeks on tinder that she thought she might marry and she just had a very negative personality). So I left her on read for the past 4 days and probably won't pursue.

Seems like a bit of a mess and I think my timing issue may have saved me a lot of trouble. I have much better leads for girls who are positive and more my style of personality.

This seems fine.

Your texting in general is a little... awkward, especially in the case of the haircut comment. I'd recommend using some emojis because you come off a bit dry.
