She wasn’t really that invested and I think the romance line was coming on too strong (too much investment from you atm). You needed to build up more emotion in her I think before.

I agree with JT. I think it's irrelevant whether they're copy-paste or not, it's how they're perceived and in this case they're too gamey. The romance message was cringeworthy tbh

I would have gone with "How come?" after she answered, if she doesn't answer > "Don't think too hard now" > "Thought you are quite talkative"...
