First of all if you are going to South America. Just build comfort for now for example. Favorite bands . Favorite sports. You know things in common and just build on that so she can have an emotional connection. Offer value. If she has never been where you are from share a cool picture near a cool place you are from that she’s never seen .
Assume the best if she didn’t reply to your question just keep moving on. Right now I’d say establish comfort and keep things a sentence or two .
