The YouTuber Corey Wayne has an interesting approach to online dating and it would be an interesting experiment to try. I'm currently testing his method right now on a new profile.
His profile basically says
"If you are [x, y, z, etc] you might be what I'm looking for and you should get in touch"
That's it. He just sits back and lets them come to him, add him on Instagram etc or presumably just waits for the likes to arrive using Tinder gold etc. I don't think he's sitting there swiping at ALL.
Has anyone tried this passive approach? Does it work?
After 24 hours of trying it I only have 4 likes (not bought Tinder gold yet) and a random chick just liked one of my old IG photos and followed me. Hmm...
Corey Wayne doesn't know SHIT about Tinder. No, this does not work. It's suboptimal.

Thought so. I'm trying it anyway because I'm interested to see what the algorithm does when you don't swipe at all. Seem to be getting some good likes now that I'm on gold.

I mean. Yeah, I have tinder gold. And I don't really do much swiping at all. I just message the girls who like me. Aside from that, as a man most women expect you to be proactive and make the first move

When she swipes on you, she has no idea how you swiped on her, so no idea if you're making the first move or not. Once you can see the likes roll in, you're able to capitalize on it quick by swiping and getting the conversation going. If you swipe first, she might be waiting around for a bit which could be sub-optimal. I think that's the logic behind this tactic.
