I don’t drink so I try to go with the ice cream or coffee date instead, but I keep getting stuck. No response after this point even if I use a takeaway. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to transition instead of “I have a question for you”?

Think it's got less to do with ice cream and more to do with the fact you're going for a close/soft-close way too soon
The convo barely just started so she isn't invested at all, u need to text back in forth for longer
