I wanted to share this with you guys. I’m very much a beginner and I kind of knew this girl I was talking to was going to flake. For a moment, when I got this text my heart sank and disappointment started running through my head. Then, something said “this is an opportunity. Don’t pass it up.” So I engaged, I didn’t just give up and I had a small amount of success here in getting her to rethink things.

As of now, she has not responded. I don’t care. To me, I just won. Not too long ago, I’d have given up, gotten pissed and blew out the conversation. Today I bet on myself. I took the first step in playing to win instead of not to lose.

She could ghost me, block me, cuss me out right now for all I care. I bet on myself for once. That’s fucking progress and I’m really proud of myself for it
