Re-engage...Sort of?
Hey Guys,
I'm used to messaging new matches that I have never met before however this morning I checked tinder to find that I have matched with someone someone I know. She and I both lived on campus at uni but largely had nothing to do with each other apart from the occasional party. No we never hooked up or had any sexual tension, but I think that is because we were both in long term relationships at the time. however now we are both single, I can see myself dating her if I play my cards right.
So what's the play here, pretend I don't know her and go for a usual opener, or do I try the familiar card? Third option?? any advice here welcome, thanks legends

Definitely do not pretend like you don't know her. Be real and proactively bring it up in a low-key way. She'll get the vibe that you always found her attractive, but are a cool guy who was chill about the situation with LTRs etc, was normal and fun socially etc, this adds value in her eyes. If she asks something along the lines of "did you always have a thing for me", you can be like "yeah I def found you attractive, but I was in a relationship obviously..."

Definitely dont treat her like you would every other match. You have rapport which is a huge advantage

Don't want it be awkward or cringe but at the same time don't want to fall into small talk
