I used to do competitive swimming, rugby, and anything really outdoors. After getting married I let myself go a bit then with Covid I ballooned. Single now, been on several dates from apps where I show my body so no catfishing, but my confidence is in the tank.

I’ve lost 35lbs, have 40lbs more to go. I’m thinking I should stop with the apps but still go out of my way to talk to people during the day, especially women I find attractive.

Not sure it’s worth the effort and money spent on dates from apps if I’m always self conscious about my belly. Or do you all think I should keep going with dates while also getting back into shape?

BTW, I’m kicking myself for gaining so much weight not because of the work needed to get rid of it, but I’m definitely seeing loose skin starting. Only hope is to boost collagen through diet/fasting and rubbing pregnancy oils on my skin.

I would definitely do both at the same time. Make sure to eat healthiest of food before you go on a date and what not

I’m glad I took your advice. Signed up again to Hinge and within two hours I had a date with this hot little Latina (we don’t have many Latinas in Toronto) for Thursday. Feels great.

Remember Richard Miller, one of the old school los Angeles OGs. Dude was enormous and still pulled. Keep up your weight loss journey, and double down, but also realize that while you're doing this important work, this is also an opportunity to focus on frame control. "My dad bod is the hottest thing about me" can be a mantra, even while you hit the gym hard. The strongest frame wins.
