Lost my full-time job and had no prospects of finding anything meaningful anytime soon. I'm now my mom's live-in caregiver, being paid by the state, and federal programs.
How do I pitch this in the most positive light when asked about it on dates or on apps?
how is your mom situation? like is it possible to move out or do you need to be her personal caregiver.
As far as dates or apps, I wouldn't mention it, but if she brings it up, just say yeah my mom needs a caregiver so I'm taking care of her temporarily and move on

I need to be her caregiver or someone else has got to be, she's made some poor decisions in regard to health and now for example she can't move more than 30-50 feet without getting winded and needs to be on one of those portable oxygen concentrators.
oh man, so sorry to hear that, hope its reversable and/or temporary?
It's up to you if you want to move out, I personally would move out and get a professional in there to reverse or heal her but idk the situation so up to you my dude, let us know how it goes, best wishes

Focus on personal goals i.e getting a job (A busy restaurant is an easy job to acquire and tips can be quite good). Don’t let the hard times ruin your health. Make sure you’re staying fit (push-ups or pull ups). Keep throwing your net out and don’t get discouraged. You could always say just moved into parents from college, my apartment has a leak if you’re uncomfortable with being honest.. Update us on how it goes and best of luck
