Hey guys, my company has an instant message system. We use it to chat with each other a lot. Obv i try to flirt and tease as much as possible without crossing the line.
Today while i was chatting i said something and got a good response. But the next thing i said got a lame one and im not sure why. Any insight would be appreciated!
Me: Tell [our boss] to put me back there!
Me: Not sure if youd want me back there tho. I wouldn't tolerate any shenanigans!
Her: Hahahahahah
Her: I would cause you to get in trouble and almost fired
Me: That's what id be afraid of. Which is why id enforce strict discipline!

I would just talk to her in person and invite her for a casual drink. Don't have any kind of flirty conversation over IM. It will be detrimental for the job

But yea 2nd text was kinda overdone and wasnt as funny anymore. Still not bad but I would've just said "oh what kind of trouble would u get me in😏 " or "and then I would lose a job, lose my house/apartment and would have to stay and sleep with you... u know what on second thought losing this job doesent sound all that bad for me🤔"

Thanks for the feedback, i kinda wondered if i was beating a dead horse at that point. Just rehashing the same joke instead of moving the convo along.
I like ur first suggestion - wish i wouldve said that! Ur second suggestion is prob a bit too direct lol, like i said i try not to cross the line!
