This is a topic I'm a bit confused about. It seems Alex said that traveling is a luxury. I agree to an extend. It seems that "well off" people from a country like those that are able to buy many things and then they might consider traveling. Since some jobs demand a time commitment hence its unlikely most average people would have any time to travel. Or does this only apply to America since many Americans don't really travel nor learn a second language?

On that note, what does Alex think about Couchsurfing and app like that, its seems like many people there are not wealthy but rather "hippie" type people. Would Alex said this is a "small subculture" and not really representative of American nor Europe? Hence, when people think about travelling they are not really think about this type of people?
