I cold approached an older waitress with bad English

So today during lunch, I cold approached this hot latina waitress at this mexican restaurant me and my co worker were going to during lunch earlier in the week. The day before I noticed she was staring at me pretty hard, so today I said fuck it let's do the cold approach. When she was cashing me out in the front I asked if she spoke english and she said she spoke a little. I kept things pretty simple as to not confuse her with the language barrier. I asked how old she was and she said 26, I immediately got discouraged and decided to abort the mission because I've not had luck with older women before. And I said "oh ok". She then asked why and I said "I was just wondering". Then she surprisingly asked me how old i was and i said 22. She said "your 22?", and I said "yeah I'm 22". Then i decided again fuck it let's shoot my shot given she already initiated the conversation twice which showed a bit of interest. I asked if she had a boyfriend and she looked down kind of embarrassed and shook her head. I wanted a clear answer so I asked again and she said "no". Then I asked if I could get her number and she said "not right now". I said "not right now? Next time then? And she said "yeah". I didnt notice I had about 4 guys in line behind me waiting to get rung up, so I'm assuming she was a bit embarrassed by me hitting on her in front of all those people. You guys think I should go back next week, or cut my losses?

Okay. Few things here man. First off, 4 yr age difference is nothing. There's no point to even bother asking a girl's age in a situation like this. It really makes no difference. Secondly, I wouldn't recommend asking chicks if they have a bf multiple times. Quite often, they will say Yes when they don't. You're basically giving a girl an easy out. Last and most importantly you have to keep in mind that she's working. A lot of these places have rules that girls are not allowed to give their number out. The last thing you wanna do is get your future lover in trouble. That's why you wanna be very lowkey and discrete with the number close. Speak quietly and tell her to write it on a piece of paper or something where it's not super obvious of what's happening. This is the only situation where I might add a girl on IG instead of getting her number as it is less likely to be a risk for her job and less likely to result in a positive outcome. The biggest thing in a situation like this is to be as lowkey as possible
