How to re-ask for the number or do I bail?

Not sure if this is good text game or not I'm new to tinder and really all this stuff. But ready to learn, firstly should I re-ask for the # and how if the answer is yes, 2 is this good banter overall?

I think the banter is alright. not bad maybe a little bit too much on the 'nice guy side" tho.

"could you send me your number?" sounds way too nice.
In general, for the future ask for the number after soft closing when you've mentioned a date and it's on the table already. Say it like a statement, don't ask. "Drop me your number to arrange our romantic date on WhatsApp" or something similar.
