I don’t live by myself, so it’s pretty hard for me to bring a girl over. Usually, we go for a little date, and that’s cool. How can you be direct without sound pushy and ask if her place is an option for some drinks instead of going out?

Be honest, tell her you'd be happy to have her over but that your place is impractical for a date right now, then ask if hers works. You might need to build up a bit more comfort if you're trying for her place, but the rules for straight-to-the-house dates should be the same.

Even if you don't live by yourself. I would still recommend inviting her to your place instead of asking about hers. Having roommates is only a big deal if you make it one.
