Hi everyone,
Im getting a decent number of matches on hinge but noticed most girls are not responding to the first message or after a few messages exchanged. See attached for some screenshots. I'd like to know if I'm being too generic or boring, or if there girls are just low interest from the beginning. I'd appreciate if Alex sees this too. Thanks.

This is honestly just how dating apps work.
Getting matches doesn’t really mean much anymore. A lot of people swipe when they’re bored, talk to multiple people at once, or just never reply even if they matched. It’s pretty common to have like 10–20 matches and only a couple actual conversations.
Your texting might be a little formal in places, but I don’t think that’s the main reason girls stop replying. Drop-offs happen constantly even with good messages.
Also something people don’t realize is that the apps themselves affect a lot of this — algorithms, inactive users, people who just collect matches, etc. I went down a rabbit hole about it a while ago and found this breakdown of how Tinder works and its reputation / trust signals:

It actually explains why ghosting and random silence are so common on these apps.
Honestly the best mindset is just volume. Don’t overthink one conversation and don’t get too invested early.

there are definitely some small texting mistakes but girls randomly dropping off is normal on dating apps. If I message 10 girls, maybe Ill get a date with 1. Which is why you need to run high volume
Your texting is too formal, id recommend using Firetexts to help you come up with better texts

Can you elaborate abit more on how my texting is too formal, maybe give some examples from the screenshots. That way I'll be more aware of it for next time.
I've had an active FireTexts subscription for a while, but I've only used it for takeaways/non compliance from the girl. I'll start implementing it throughout the whole conversation if needed.
Thanks.

yeah here is an example, you said "is there an underlying concern" thats pretty formal. a better way of phrasing that would be "don't be shy"
i do definitely recommend using FireTexts more. it will fix this issue for you and you can learn from the examples.
