When you take a trip in area that's not your usual, when you come back home, how do you deal with the people that you matched with from that area?

I'm getting matches with people I swiped on when I was on vacation weeks ago. Do I ignore them, or should I say something?

I've heard that the algorithm punishes you for unmatching a lot, so definitely do that. I also heard that "engagement" is good for your ELO, so I usually just send a polite "sorry I missed you" kind of messages. Anyway, you never know.
