Girl was super invested, was on her way to the date, but got stuck in traffic due to an accident. After she texted me about getting out of traffic, I tried to call her, and that's the point when she stopped responding. I guess in my second to last message, I should have proposed rescheduling?

I'm gonna move forward with other plans tonight now, but what would you do to try to revive this Alex?

This is a bit of the weird one. I think what happened was she got so frustrated with the traffic that she decided to go home, but than felt really awkward telling you that so the easiest curse of action for her was just not to say anything.
In terms of the follow up, I like @valentin idea and the logic behind it .

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. I realized I should have offered her to reschedule after her last message, she'd also moved back from school yesterday and was surely tired Will do what you guys suggested

I'd go the direction - "hope you're alright".
She should feel awkward not to reply as you somewhat communicate that the only reason for not replying to you is if there were some bigger issues.
Then you can take her apology and make her up for it.

But curious what A says.

Wow, sent the message, she actually seems to have ghosted over this. She was so invested and interested in meeting, I'm legitimately the most shocked I've been yet for a girl ghosting or flaking.
