Gym Girl playing games
Me & Gym girl had been eyeing each other for about a month, 4-5 days out the week. I guess the Holidays made her lonely so a couple days after Christmas she approached me in the area I was working out in to ask how much space I was using, she made an extra comment and we started talking/vibing.. We did a workout together, did a lil flirting then we parted ways.. Couple minutes later I see shes talking to another guy, the guy positions the convo so that it is in my view.
She looks a lil embarassed knowing that she just expressed HIGH interest in me but shes entertaining the dude.
I assume they exchanged numbers & socials which I did not with her..
Days past and her interest is still Very High with me. I always catch her staring and she makes sure shes gets my attention.
Fast Forward to 2 weeks later I notice her & the guy arriving together to the gym, working out together, maybe leaving together.. All the while she still trys to get my attention.
Third week she comes in my area again, a convo sparks & she puts my number in her phone a then text me.. The other dude sees us talking and comes in the area we're in, minutes later he cowers and leaves.. Now every time Im talking to gym girl he is somewhere watching and nervous.. He was Not her boyfriend! but was her other option I guess cause I was slow to move things forward
WHat should I do next.. ! I'll see her again cause shes a trainer in the gym but I want to build value over text... Should I be DIRECT thru text OR should I be more indirect and just express my interest in her?? OR should I just Drop it, I assume they've had seggs by now, definitely not coming in 2nd... Please help!

Yes Im sure.. She has LOTS of clients, while shes "doing her job" shes staring at me while im working out so I KNOW shes interested.
Spoke with her again, I believe it’s a Go... going to push for a Hookup this weekend
Still working on it.. Don't want to feel like Im competing for a chick with another dude but it is what it is... outside of her being attracted to me, been having trouble with getting her to chase me, I get kinda nervous around girls Im attracted to...

Whatever it might be, seems like you need to get more info. So on your next interaction (whether in person or while texting), you can either :

playfully ask her about it/point it out (maybe something like "where's your boyfriend today ;)" --> then hopefully you get a straight answer from her i.e. "Haha he's okay/etc" (then you know she picked her) or "Noo he's just a friend/client". Goes without saying of course to do this in a light teasing way, no jealousy. if she gives a shit test "why ? you jealous ?" then pass it by agreeing and exaggerating ("so jealous it hurts babe" or something, i dunno i'm not as quick on my feet as alex lol but you get the picture)

Like what Rhaegar is life said, simply ask her out. That's the easiest way to end the "mind games". "hey listen we've been talking a while and tbh i think you're cute, we should get some wine after a good workout". She'll either say i'm down, sorry im seeing the other dude, maybe, but from her response you'll probably get a good indication of where she's at with the guy (and with you)
Either way, if you learn that she's picked the other guy after all, tough luck, but at least you get to move on quickly than be stuck in overanalyzing hell
Thanks you Sir! Definitely going to do option 2.. Don't know abt addressing the "boyfriend" thing, that might be too BetaMale but if the interaction calls for it I'll see... The Girl trainers don't date clients, its a Massive Gym with the Same regulars in the Evening hours, its like a Social scene so everybody knows who's in the Market for Dating/hooking up or who's just there to work/workout.. When shes not working she switches to Bright Color booty shorts/sports bra and either comes around me or the other guy...

If you like her then just ask her out. Girls love confident guys that go for what they want and dont beat around the bush
Also dont "build value over text", do it in person instead. Texts should mostly be used just to arrange a date
