Instead, keep it simple and take her up on ubering somewhere close to you, a bar or something like she said where after you build some more comfort and attraction in person you can take her back to yours. She changed her mind on you picking her up directly cause she needs more comfort.
I agree. But I need a reason to bring her to me. An Uber would be too expensive for how far she’s traveling. Should I say “I know a good bar we can hit up by me and don’t know your area. Could you come to me Wednesday or Thursday night?”

I’m trying to craft this so you won’t have to deal with a last minute concern or objection, anyway, do you know what kinda drinks she likes specifically, like margaritas for example, or you can say ever been to Acapulco? Her: No, why? You: That’s where we’ll grab our drinks. Take some control of this situation, just a tad, don’t go overboard ordering for her lol. And it helps if you have actually been there and not just viewed it on google if she asks why here when you’re on a date. You can make up a random story or say something genuine
I live an hour outside of the city in a small town and often encounter logistical issues like this. Unless she's fully sold on a fuck date, and will go out of her way to make that happen, you'll have to compromise. In future, if you're trying to get her to take transit, be specific with what she'll have to do - "it's X mins(always underestimate the time) if you take the Y line to Z station, and I'll pick you up - it's the fastest way"
She's not stupid - she's going to ping your location into google maps and find out how long it'll take. make it sound logical and easy for her and by extension us - you focused on how it saved time for you.
