It doesn't work like that... the only reason "can I be honest" exists is to be the bait in a two-part opener. If it doesn't work for you just don't use it.
Observations:
- there's no way you see anything in these chicks' eyes. Saying "can I be honest" as a lead-in to an obvious lie sets such a weird tone
- banter is friendly playful teasing. That opener isn't any of those things. "I can see in your eyes we met in a past life and god is saving me for you" isn't playful, it's psychotic

I feel a lot of girls don't reply when you just say Can I be honest. I developed adding on something bantery like knowing each other already just by her looks and submissive eyes. I guess it wasn't the right direction.
