I’ve been talking to this girl since September 2025 and we hit it off idk connection was crazy at first. We live in different states, and after about six months we finally met briefly in Houston. We hugged, kissed, and talked about traveling together in the future. Since then we’ve stayed in touch mostly through Instagram, to be fair ive pulled back because i knew i cant really visit her often rn.

A few months ago I brought up taking a trip together. She initially said she’d be down to travel around early July because she wanted to get over her travel anxiety. However, she ended up taking a couple of trips with her family instead. More recently I asked about Puerto Rico, and she replied “two weeks?” but never followed through. Last weekend she told me, “I’m in a shit position right now. I’ll let you know this coming week.”

It’s now been about a week, she hasn’t reached out, and she’s been posting stories about getting ready for her birthday and spending time with friends. I’m wondering if she’s planning a birthday trip without telling me or if she’s simply not that interested. She has randomly brang up taking trips w me before randomly and i declined a few times.

Tomorrow I have a date with an attractive woman. I’m debating whether I should post a subtle Instagram story showing I’m out with another woman—not to make anyone jealous, but to signal that I’m moving forward instead of waiting around. Given everything that’s happened, do you think posting that story is a good idea, or should I just leave it alone? I feel like shes going to fk me and go on trip w her friend. idk u think shes genuine? will posting another girl get her attn? Also her 38 sec voice memo was interesting she she answered my question but abruptly ends with: “oh yeah but its boring asf so you should go with somebody”
