I haven’t done much approaching at the gym as it seems counterintuitive, but I do have some rapport. And basically is that, build rapport, until you feel the right vibes and then make a suggestion for hangout.

Convo can start really simple:

“Hey would you mind letting me know once you’re finished with the equipment?”

“I like your energy. Gets me motivated when I’m slowing down”

And if you feel like she’s not having it, transition to casual polite gym requests. I just wanted to know how many more sets you’ve got on this, or, just wanted to know where did you find that resistance band, I am noticing you do that esercise well with good form, do you mind if I watch and see what you’re doing. (If it’s not a butt exercise but something you’d actually do, like barbell squats, deadlifts) you have to be congruent, not make her feel uncomfortable and also not look like you’re going to the gym to chat girls but to get results.

You’ll see this person couple times probably, so small chat.

Dude, I always puss out at the gym. It's even more awkward with masks and headphones. Saw a girl yesterday and had a funny line based on the exercise she was doing, but it felt so contrived to motion to her to take out her headphones just to make a joke. Then thought about going direct, but felt like that was too high pressure and awkward. So ultimately I didnt do shit, which is basically my process every time i see a hottie at the gym. Dying to hear if anyone else has good strats. I think indirect is the move and build some rapport but it's tough to find time when both parties are there to get shit done
