Hey guys, so I started taking pictures. I got a tripod (not a full size one a mini one) about a foot tall. I started doing shoots of me playing guitar. I am horrible at taking pictures, the majority of them look really awkward and I don't really have the best space to be taking the photos. I have a few more ideas for pictures that I want to throw out there and get your guys opinions on. Playing guitar drinking coffee while reading a book cooking a hiking scene a waterfall scene pouring a glass of wine and getting a professional photographer to take a few pictures of me in a big city I am wondering if the pictures would go good with eachother on the profile or if they would clash and I am not too sure about the drinking coffee while reading a book picture. Do you guys think that would make a good profile picture?

I agree with alivench that having someone take your photos is better than tripod. You should book a photographer and find friends who are good at pics.

But I also believe you should do the best you can with what you have in the meantime. Tripod pics are better than selfies. And if your profile is below avg, you can at least get to slightly above avg with the tools you have right now.

Though a 1-foot tripod severely limits your options. How you angle the camera and where you place it, so that you get the lighting on your face is really important. It better if you had a tall one so you can get a shot at eye-level, at whatever location and angle you want.

i honestly think tri pod is a waste of time. I've seen so many people do it and no one has been able to show me a good tinder photo that came from a tripod, in all honesty a selfie would prob be better
