I’ve watched that video multiple times but I seem to not understand what qualifies as gameyness at times. For instance, alluding to a “romantic dAte” strikes me as cheesy/gamey, however, it seems to be ok, I suppose within reason.

It appears there is a certain amount of gameyness that is acceptable and even beneficial, but there is also a fine line that takes a lot experience to pinpoint.
