Over the past year+, many users on the Hinge subreddit as well as a few in the Game commnuity have reported an unfortunate bug in Hinge where they only see the lowest-rated users in their Discover section. I'm doing a survey to see if we can crowdsource some information on why this might be happening. Thanks. To be clear: this is not typical behavior, it only happens for some guys, but no one knows why. It's been happening to me since mid-2018. I've left my account for a year, recreated again, and it happens again. The only time I've ever got it to reset is physically travelling to another city and coming back.
I've experienced it mostly like you say where you see 20 ugly-ass women and then one smokeshow, but lately for me it's just been all uggos and no hot chicks.
What you can do is set your age to a very specific range, like 24-25, and distance to 1 mile. You'll exhaust the uggos faster and you can get your 10 free likes in on the normal girls. Then rinse and repeat every day.

Yea i will admit not like im doing amazing on other apps (currently working on getting better pics, etc) but way better than i was doing on Hinge. I'll definitely keep that in mind for using hinge
