Yep. Too little too late, only noticed when we got home. He didnt know that you have to hold the shutter to half release before taking the photo.

It happens. My buddy and I started taking photos back in November and when we first started it was kinda shitty. He knew how to use the camera and I didnt. A lot of his photos came out bad.
Fast forward to now, I'm taking some pretty killer photos because I've used his camera so much.
Takes time but it seems like you're taking some solid photos, with good style.
