Got her number a few weeks ago at the grocery store and the conversation went dead pretty fast. I ended up texted her from my “friends” number to ask why she ghosted me, and she used a generic excuse. I wanted to give it some time before trying again, so it’s been a few weeks now. What’s the best way to approach this?

Oh man. Where do I begin? The big issue here is that you’re coming off very needy. You triple texted her within the span of one weekend . I would’ve waited at least a week before the third text. Also the text you sent before she stopped responding was a bit odd. I understand you were kidding but she might not know enough English to get that . For all you know, she’s putting everything through google translate.

The texting from “the friends” phone was also needy. This strategy should only be used as a last resort if she blocks you because of some misunderstanding . It should not be used if a girl is just not replying

In terms of what to do next, try letting it sit for 2 weeks and see if she messages you back. If after 2 weeks you don’t hear anything — you can say “hola linda”

I agree 100% and it’s something that I’ve tried to work on but my texting is significantly worse than talking in person. It’s a real hurdle after getting a # no matter how good my approaches have been.

It’s already been almost three weeks so should I send her a text this weekend or a wait a little longer? I’m in Florida so we’re going through a big storm right now.

If it’s been 3 weeks then you can shoot her a message and yeah I’m in florida but it’s not too bad in miami.
