Is there anything you'd suggest for me in particular with trying to get as good at texting as possible in the minimum amount of time? Is there something which you did that you'd highly suggest I implement?

There is never an optimal way to do something. However, with the resources available, you'd stumble lesser than if you took the least effective path. I'd just focus on SMV and getting better pictures so you can get more matches and fail a lot more to learn from those failures
