. This is a cold approach from Facebook, I opened her and then asked for a Salvadoran restaurant recommendation, do I really care? No but I couldn’t find anything else on her profile to chat her up with and it has worked in the past. The problem is I want to soft close but fear it might be to soon. “Maybe you should show me” But I don’t think it fits and is all I can think . Rather I just want to show my intent with her and I don’t know how to transition.

i would banter for a bit and come back for the soft close. shouldn’t take a lot longer.
something like: how long have you been here?
then: ah you’re basically a local what part of the city do you live in?
then: ah we’re close guess our love will survive after all
then: you should tell me more about el salvador over a romantic date :)

Thanks man, I should have made this clearer but I met met this girl on Facebook, not a a dating. So the mutual agreement that we both like each other isnt there. You think being that direct talking about love before she even knows I’m interested is good?

hmmm that does change things. no i don't think talking about love (even though it's meant to be a joke) makes sense before she knows you're interested.
