In the past, if a girl flaked on a date, I assumed it was over. I had tested trying again a few times and never heard from the girl and so my theory was if the girl was willing to flake, it's not worth it.

In watching Alex's videos, he said one of his favorite texts to girls who flake is the "flaking type" text (review his videos for examples). That feels a little butthurt to me, but I've tested it twice on girls who flaked and didn't hear back from one girl. I'm willing to test things I've never tried.

I'm curious if there's any nuance to sending this type of text - for instance, I send a confirmation text the day of the date (1 text confirming only) and she doesn't respond. If she no shows, is there a period to wait in terms of hours or days when sending the "flaking type" text? It feels off to send two or three days later, more appropriate to send after a few hours, but it feels even more inappropriate to act as if nothing happened and text her again a week later (avoiding the elephant in the room).

QUESTION: If she doesn't even respond to the confirmation text, is this "flaking type" text even worth sending?

Update she later texted:

Hey sorry, I went out last night and left my phone in my friends car when she dropped me off last night. It's been dead all day.

Other than "ok" is there a better response here?

Yeah man, this is why it's important to be patient and not jump to conclusions. I would just say something like "It's cool. I'm sure you'll find a way to make it up to me ;)"
