haha I have the same problem, I was lucky to do in car dates or better yet her place once a few comfortable dates have been set in stone. Any dates you recommend to her should be closer to her place and not yours, but it will take a few dates to set the tone.

As for your place, I live in a family household (I have my own room) but yeah I mean worse case I'd just go, "I live with family no parents but I'm the man of the house ;)"
