Question about opening “You seem like my type”
I’ve been trying out this line a lot with my new matches on girls I like, but so far the responses have been very underwhelming, so I was curious if it is possible that this is a bad opener to start with? I’m wondering how can I recover when their responses always seems to be “Aww thanks”, “Glad you think so!” And basically the convo dies from there. The only hope is when they are curious and ask “What’s your type? How? What’s your weakness” But if they don’t ask that, then it’s already dead.
How did I fuck up with this girl when she asked “What’s your type?” And I said “A girl who has at least 2 of my weaknesses..” baiting her to ask me more but instead of asking she just says “Aww glad you think so” and then when I tried to continue the convo, just nothing. What are your thoughts on this one?

Don’t get stuck in any single frame. One bait line is fine, but bait after bait is just weird. If she bites, add some color. If she doesn’t, cut thread. Don’t insist on it.
Same as the trouble line. Eg a girl responds she’s not trouble, too many people sit in that frame trying to convince her that she is, or should be, or would be better if she was, trouble. It’s weird and ceases to be fun anymore
If it works, drive it somewhere. If it doesn’t, cut thread and take the convo elsewhere
You ever notice when Alex throws in one of these lines and the girl shows some compliance, but just branches into another topic? That's what you need to. I guess this is just a way to screen for her investment. Like the other guy said don't try to stay on the whole opener because that's all it is is that, an opener.
Yep I noticed that with the “hey trouble” and she tries to ask why or how. But i think my problem is how would you just snip the thread and change topics, what would you say after she responds? Say she just says “How? Or Thanks” how do you continue on off the “you’re my type” open and transition into something new?

Generally, I’m not a fan of what I call “extreme baiting”. The “you seem like my type” is a hair text. To follow it up with another bait text is too much in my opinion
After she says “how so” I’d say “cute & curvy, with a bit of a wild side” or something and then she’ll say “haha that’s me”. I just move the conversation on

Makes sense! Thanks for clearing that up. Will definitely keep that in mind next time that you don’t want to keep baiting as you risk putting her off but instead just do 1 bait text and then give her the answer in the next text
