Question #1:

  1. Should I keep mirroring her response time?
  2. Should I call it out? If so, then what do you think of something like "Hey, I understand that maybe you've had some bad experiences in the past being too eager. So maybe this is why we're treating text like email with the response times. If you ever want to just text normally, I'm down for that too ;)"

Here's a breakdown of the response time:

  • ME: Sat 4:31pm {1st text after transitioning from Hinge}:
    (7h 26m)
  • ME: Sat 11:57pm {double text with “🤔”}
  • ME: Sun 11:53am {still not having received a reply, I message her from Hinge}
    (21h 35m from initial text)
  • HER: Sun 2:05pm
    (1h 24m)
  • ME: Sun 3:29pm
    (7h 26m)
  • HER: Sun 10:55pm
    (23h 49m)
  • ME: Mon 10:44pm
    (24h 5m)
  • HER: Tues 10:49pm

++++++++++

Question #2:

How to reply to her last text (see screen shots):

My thinking:

  • ME: I have a better idea
  • HER: what’s that?
  • ME: we split a bottle of wine at my place. No corona crowds, comfortable, warm, wine
  • HER: {corona objection}
  • ME: No need to worry about it with me. I’ve been double vaxxed, plus I already had corona end of November. CDC says almost no chance of me being a carrier

Yeah man. I think that text is fine and No you don't need to take as long. You can just reply whenever. Not a big deal
